Westside Trail Groundbreaking

Westside Trail Groundbreaking: Adair and Washington Park in Atlanta The newest trail to be brought to life on The Beltline will stretch from Adair to Washington Park is Southwest Atlanta, which covers everything from University Ave to Lena Street. Groundbreaking is taking place today, Wednesday November 12th with the Mayor and other city officials and will include, transit, green space, parks and you guessed it, new home constructions along the neighborhood streets. The total completion time for this project should be approximately 24 months will cost roughly $43 million when it’s all said and done. I’m pretty certain builders will have first dibs on open lots to begin building craftsman style and modern construction to bring new buyers to the area. If anyone is interested in moving to the area, the time to look is now. Home prices will be slightly lower in the beginning but will probably increase closer to completion. Current residents of these 10 southwest neighborhoods are already excited to see life coming to their area. This addition to the Beltline will add more extracurricular activities as well as easier access into other Beltline Neighborhoods. With the construction of the new Dome in Atlanta already underway, the Arthur Blank Foundation along with Invest Atlanta has approximately $30 million on reserve to redevelop this part of downtown Atlanta over a period of 3 years. The overall goal for Vine City development plans is to promote healthy communities in the Vine City neighborhood. What could this potentially mean for buyers looking at affordable Intown Atlanta neighborhoods? Well the first thing is knowing that grant monies would be available as an incentive to move into the selected area as well as the ability to purchase investment properties within the neighborhood at lower than average market rates. Vine City is within walking distance to the GA Dome and there are plans for much retail to be brought to the area to cater to tourism and events. This will be great for the local residents because Vine City will be transitioning to a live-work-play neighborhood in just a few short years.
